We have two of these installed in our home, and they have been in use for several months. I have a monkey-baby who insist on climbing/shaking/kicking the gates, so they have been tested to the fullest. They are pretty easy to install, though the directions were a little hard to understand. Luckily, once you look at the pieces, it is pretty easy to figure out.
We use both of the gates everyday, opening and closing them and walking through. We love them and they are easy to use with one hand which is needed with a wiggly baby in the other hand. They also come out of the wall easily without having to take out the hardware. That means that when we have parties, we can take out the whole gate and then put it right back up afterwards in about two seconds. They simply slip back in the brackets and you are ready to go.
I looked at many gates before getting these, and I am glad that I got these.
