This is actually the second one of these we have bought; the first one we bought in a store in Virginia when our first grandchild came for a visit. This second iteration of the "same" product is made of a slightly thinner tubing structure, which makes it a little bit lighter overall, yet retains all its original great functionality.
We really like the ability to block off stairways or Christmas tree and the three movable (hinged) sections offer a variety of configurations. We especially like the fact that the middle section has an operable GATE so we don't have to try and climb over this blockade! Also, this thing can be used successfully without having to permanently mount it to a wall or railing, although you could attach it if you so desired; but for occasional use at Grandma's house, we prefer the flexibility of moving it around to meet changing needs.
Great quality product well worth the money.
